A question that I am asked on a regular basis is "Why won't my child poop on the potty?" Know that you are not alone if currently facing this tasteless toilet training problem. As frustrating as it might be, steps can admittedly be taken to overcome this stumbling block to diaper freedom.

More tasteless in older potty training children (2.5 years and older), the "poop" issue can become a major power struggle between you and your toddler. There has been a patent issued for a cranial infant healthful device, or helmet, for children with plagiocephaly (flattening of the cranium or head). The very performance of breastfeeding will help to move the skull bones in the right way to return the skull bones back to normalcy. The skull bones move when the baby breast feeds properly. To be honest this to me is horrifying!

The principles is that the bones are malleable until about 6 months when the bones begin to fuse. That is not the true physiology. If the bones fused the baby would die. The cranial bones are designed with sutures to move to pump the cerebral spinal fluid.

Fyi-when midwives were delivering babies exclusively decades ago, they wouldn't leave the birth until the baby's head looked symmetrical and the baby was sucking and nursing properly. I think if the Mayans were doing this, then what I and my chiropractic colleagues are doing must have some merit!

Don't put a helmet on your kids. Get chiropractic care and cranial adjustments and you will see a change on the first visit, and unmistakably after the natural improvement has been made. Just fixing the surface to make it look good, doesn't fix the inside and what has been altered because of the jammed or flattened sutures. Accurate the problem, and the baby will not have repercussions from the physiological changes related with the plagiocephaly.
